What is AIby.email?

AIby.email is a free, open-source macOS app that lets you build and own a fully customizable AI agent on your machine. No cloud, no account, no limits. You choose the brain: a local LLM that never leaves your computer, or bring your own key from Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, OpenRouter, and more. Then connect every channel — WhatsApp, Instagram, Email, phone calls, Telegram, Signal, iMessage, Slack, Discord, X, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Reddit, Pinterest, Bluesky, Snapchat, Google Business, and web chat — over 20 channels in total. Finally, give it a face of its own with custom branding and personality.

Key features include an encrypted vault using AES-256-GCM for keys, write-only access so agents see key names but never values, and an isolated public agent that sandboxes strangers away from your files and secrets. The notch integration on macOS means you never need to find a window — everything happens at the notch, or via a floating pill on non-notch Macs. For advanced users, AIby.email supports pooling multiple Claude Code or Codex plans per agent: when one account hits its usage limit, the agent seamlessly switches to the next, even mid-task.
